AlliedFCU Gives $500 to “Santa Cops,” Works with Arlington PD to Gift Children Holiday Cheer

Allied Federal Credit Union staff donated $500 to the Arlington Police Department’s “Santa Cops” program this November. “Santa Cops” works alongside Arlington Independent School District to locate children in need, buy them gifts and throw a Christmas party for their families. The donation was part of the Credit Union’s Casual for a Cause program.

AlliedFCU’s Casual for a Cause program empowers an employee committee to choose different local causes to support each month. Then, employees donate to the cause in exchange for dressing casual at work. The employee committee chose “Santa Cops” as November’s cause because they wanted all children to experience a joy-filled holiday.

“Most of us remember how special it was to open gifts from Santa on Christmas morning. But not everyone can afford to make those memories,” said Sarah Ramos, AVP of Experience at Allied Federal Credit Union. “We hope our donation to ‘Santa Cops’ lets more children and families have a happy, memorable holiday experience.”
