AlliedFCU Celebrates National Animal Care and Control Week with Donations to Arlington and Mansfield Animal Services

April 18, 2024

Allied Federal Credit Union donated $680 to animal services in Arlington and Mansfield as part of Animal Care and Control Week. This week celebrates animal control officers and all they do to help vulnerable pets. Each shelter received $340. AlliedFCU also encouraged its members to donate to the shelters’ Amazon wish lists and adopt pets as well.

The Credit Union’s advocacy for local animal services was part of its monthly Casual for a Cause program. As part of the program, AlliedFCU staff members donate money to a cause in exchange for dressing casually at work. An employee committee selects each cause. They chose city animal services to recognize compassionate animal care workers and help pets find homes.

“There are so many lovable animals in city shelters right now, and there are so many loving people taking care of them. Both groups need recognition so we can continue placing pets in amazing homes,” said Tonia Clark, CEO at AlliedFCU. “We are excited to play a part in caring for animals with our donation. The great work Arlington and Mansfield Animal Services staff perform will always have our full support.”
