AlliedFCU Staff Donate $600 to Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, Commit to Delivering Meals Weekly
May 20, 2025
AlliedFCU donated $600 to Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County recently and committed to a weekly meal delivery route. Employees will take turns delivering meals to homebound, elderly and disabled Arlington and Mansfield residents. Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County provides about 1.3 million meals each year to local residents. It also provides professional case management and other services which enable recipients to stay living in their own homes instead of in nursing homes or other care facilities.
The donation and volunteer commitment are the result of AlliedFCU’s Casual for a Cause program, which permits employees to wear casual dress at work in exchange for a monetary donation. That money is placed into a fund, and each month, it is donated to a different local charity. In celebration of AlliedFCU’s 60th Anniversary, monthly donations in 2025 are $600.
“Being part of the community means showing up in ways that matter,” said Tonia Clark, AlliedFCU CEO. “Meals on Wheels is doing vital work to support our most vulnerable neighbors, and we’re proud that our team can contribute both financially and personally by helping deliver meals. It’s an honor to serve in this small way and continue building a legacy of care.”
